January 2021 - New patent application submitted

NabTech is continuously developing new air bearing solutions. One of our latest inventions is a novel tilting pad gas bearing design. The new design is suitable for small shaft sizes, down to 6 mm, and can reach speeds in excess of 300m/s. Such high-speed is beyond the posibilities of existing foil bearings, which are currently the industrial standard within oil-free turbomachinery. In addition, our novel tilting pad concept can be manufactured at low cost and has less frictional losses. Hence, we believe that our novel tilting pad concept is a promising technology for the future. Interested, please contact us.
